About the Author
B. Manjula Rao is an educator, author, and technologist with a master’s degree in Computer Science and a bachelor’s degree in Education. A proud banker’s daughter, her childhood was shaped by frequent transfers, which led her to study in multiple schools and embrace new and unfamiliar environments early in life.
She began her professional journey as a faculty member at Aptech Computer Education in Mangalore and Mumbai, later serving as the Regional Technical Support Executive at the Aptech Ltd. regional office in Mumbai. After a brief career break, she returned to teaching, Java programming at an ICSE school in Mumbai.
Manjula Rao made her literary debut in 2016 with her self-published novel Three Boons: Give and Take (Partridge India). Her second novel, From Gurukul to Gurukool (2020), a small-town school story, was published by Paper Towns. Her short fiction has appeared in the anthology A Life I Lived, while her non-fiction work Being a Tourist was featured in The Big Bang of Non-Fiction. Her third novel, Malhara – A Return to Roots, Where Love Awaits, was a finalist at the LitMart event of the Bangalore Literature Festival.
Currently, she works as an Online Coding Educator at MindChamp, an all-women organization, mentoring students in India and abroad.
